Elliot Fantino's Immigration Page

My great grandfather and great grandmother on my dad's side of the family came to America from Turin, Italy in the early 1920's through Ellis Island. My great grandparents were under the name of Jones when they entered America. They came here by themselves to have a better life with more opportunities, such as better jobs and a happy life, becaause they were not happy with where they lived in Italy. When they came here they were probably about 19 years old. When they had arrived at Ellis Island there were not as many people there as there normally was. Once they left Ellis Island and entered America, they had settled in Up-state New York, and lived there for about 10 years or maybe a little more, and then decided to move to Tennessee so my grandmother and her siblings could have a good life. My grandmother was born and raised in Tennessee with her 6 brothers and sisters.
